Peer-reviewing/train-the-trainer event Duisburg 5th and 6th November 2024

Looking back on a very fruitful 1S4IWT train-the-trainer & consortium meeting held from November 5th to 6th! We had a very productive time with our colleagues from Germany, the Netherlands, Romania and Slovakia in Duisburg! Thanks to Angelika Voit, from Schiffer-Berufskolleg RHEIN, for being such a great host! 
Our discussions centered around innovating education & training in the inland waterway transport sector within our project “1 System 4 IWT Learning: Upskilling Pathways”. This time we met mainly for peer-reviewing & training our updated learning materials, e.g. on cybersecurity and greening initiatives.
Key highlights of the side-program included a trip  on the river Rhein on STC’s school-vessel “Ab Initio”, a tour of duisport – Duisburger Hafen AG and testing the SANDRA II (Simulator for Advanced Navigation Duisburg Research and Application).
